Customizing Author Archive Pages

Hi GP team,
We are trying to add extended author bio to author posts archive page.
This extended bio needs to have multiple text sections. Each section starts with a heading and has a paragraph or two of text in it.
Our goal right now is to just add this extended bio in the current format of author archive, under the title with authors name and shot bio in it and before the list of author's posts.
We plan to have large number of authors, so it is important that we won't have to manually link author archives link to a custom page, as suggested here #post-1152285.
What would be the most automated, user friendly, resource inexpensive way to achieve this?

The best and most efficient - resource inexpensive way I would say is to use GenerateBlocks and a Block Element - Hook or Page Hero and display it to Author Archives.

I’m assuming you would be adding the other fields like Work Experience and Publications through a custom field plugin. One plugin I use for this is Advanced Custom Fields.
So, once you’ve setup your custom fields, in your Block Element, you can retrieve the custom text fields through a GenerateBlocks Headline Element. Just select Author Meta as the source, and set the meta field name to what you set them.

That is a great idea to hook an author box inside Author Archives. How would we disable the regular Author + description from showing up inside Author Archives?

If you are using block element - page hero to add the author box, there's an option to disable the title which will disable the default author name and description.
