I’m a complete noob both to WP and – well, everything – and learning as I go along by reading on the forums and researching online, so I apologize if this is a very elementary question that may have already been answered.

We have two pages on which we’d like to customize the widgets with content entirely different from what’s already set up in the widget menus.

    On this page:
We’d like the right sidebar to have links to download our church profile, as well as create a feature for our community and provide links to local family resources. So, where it currently has the “This Week” and “Meal-A-Month” content, those need to change specific to this page.

    Similarly, on this page:
We’d like to have the contents in the left sidebar feature the lessons for the week for Bible study and for Sunday school, and include a mini-calendar of our Calendar page.

What’s the best way to go about doing this? My CSS knowledge is basic, and my php is even less at best, so a detailed explanation/example would be highly appreciated if possible.

    Thanks much in advance!

    Hi there,

I would use a plugin like this:

It allows you to set certain widgets for specific pages – it should be perfect for what you’re looking for.

There’s also a plugin called “Custom Sidebars” that you might want to check out.

Let me know if you need more info 🙂

Awesome, thanks so much Tom! This was a lot easier than I thought it would be. You and your work are fantastic. Thanks again!
