Customize "Read More" Button on a per-post basis

With my previous themes, I used the built-in WordPress ability to occasionally customize the "Read More" button text as described in the codex.
Is this achievable with GP? For instance, I'm using the following code, but as you can see here it only produces the standard "Read More" text that I set within GP's settings.

I'm using the latest version of WordPress, GP, and GP Plugin.
