Hello,
I just installed the Avery pre-built website and am having trouble finding half of the customizations. I am unable to customize the first email part that says “Start the blog you have always wanted” along with the picture. I am also unable to customize the about me section and photo. I think I am just looking in the wrong place but I have looked everywhere in the customize section I could think of. Any help customizing those parts of the theme would be so great and thank you in advance!
September 14, 2020 at 11:16 am #1443011LeoStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Those two sections are all done with the block editor with GenerateBlocks.
You can edit them by editing that page and click on the element:

September 14, 2020 at 12:12 pm #1443107PamelaThank you SO much I was able to find that!! Now I am having a few more issues I hope you can help with.
I changed my logo and menus but I am not seeing the change on mobile. Do I have to do this separately? If so, I cannot figure out how to change my logo on the mobile. Here is what I see on desktop and what I see on mobile.

Update the mobile header logo:

That’s all in the footer widgets area. You can edit them in Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.
Sorry, along with not being able to figure out how to edit the bottom social links, I can’t figure out how to edit the top social links on the desktop either.
That’s the top bar widget area:

September 14, 2020 at 1:16 pm #1443169PamelaThank you so much. Unfortunately when I go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets. I get this error “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed” for all of the blocks in that section.
September 14, 2020 at 1:19 pm #1443174LeoStaffCustomer SupportThat’s strange. This is where you went?
https://www.screencast.com/t/jUsCO0hVgBtIt shouldn’t be using the block editor at all.
September 14, 2020 at 1:34 pm #1443204PamelaYes that is exactly where I went. I have seen that page before but not since I switched over to you guys. This is definitely using the block editor 🙁 This is what I see
September 14, 2020 at 1:45 pm #1443214LeoStaffCustomer SupportAre you using any block widget plugin?
If so can you disable that?
September 14, 2020 at 1:52 pm #1443219PamelaI disabled anything that said edit or editing blocks. It seems like it has something to do with Gutenberg because this is the link it takes me to:
wp-admin/themes.php?page=gutenberg-widgets
The only thing I have not tried is uninstalling Gutenberg itself?! Which I thought that was compatible, I like Gutenberg 🙁
September 14, 2020 at 1:59 pm #1443222LeoStaffCustomer SupportCan you try disabling that as well?
Shouldn’t need that plugin if you are using the latest WordPress install as the default editor is Gutenberg already.
September 14, 2020 at 2:11 pm #1443239PamelaThat worked!! Thank you so much! I really appreciate all of your help….your help and fast response was a serious time saver for me!
(For now) One last thing I can’t seem to figure out. On the home page, how can I get more than 3 posts to display?
September 14, 2020 at 2:25 pm #1443244LeoStaffCustomer SupportThat section is using WP Show Posts plugin so you need to configure that within the list setting:
