Custom post types

I need to do a site for a building company and they want to show previous projects.

I know I can use toolset types or similar but I know dynamic content has been added to GP pro. I am confused what you can do in GP pro or what you still need plugins for.

Is there any documentation on this?

Is the idea you create the custom post type then you can use GP pro dynamic features you populate the page?

Any advice is appreciated.
