Custom Page

Hello,

I have a child theme from generatepress.

Now I want to create a custom page (full width).

I duplicate page.php from de parent theme and paste it to new child theme, with a differente name. But it doesn´t work.

Somebody could help me please.

Is having the page full-width the only thing you're wanting to do? If so, a custom template isn't necessary: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/content-container/

If you need to use a custom template, this should help when it comes to naming conventions: https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/template-files-section/page-template-files/
