Custom page header in taxonomy archive page

I wouldn't say it's not clean, but it's definitely not as clean as using options.

The Blog Page Header option could be used for this, but that's just one header you can use in multiple places, so that might not work.

The other meta box options only work on specific pages, which archives aren't.

In this case, I think the method you have set up might be the best way to approach it.

And what about a filter to change just the "content" field in Blog Page Header to be able to use in multiple places? All settings would be the same except "content". Not perfect, but would be more useful.

Where would you input the different content? Using a function?

Yes, coding in PHP. It's a bit fustrating Page Headers being limited to use just in pages or posts. Maybe a better approach could be done, but i'm not the expert one ;-)
