Custom Javascript works on WP customization page, but not on the page itself

This is my first issue I have with Generatepress theme. I'm not even sure it's Generatepress related, but I'm starting to lose my mind because of it and any help is appreciated.

I'm using tabbed content and I have inserted custom JS into one of my pages. I want audio file 1 to play when tab 1 is active and audio 2 to play when tab 2 is active.

The problem is that audio doesn't play in either Mozilla or Chrome, but it works perfectly fine when I visit the page where the JS code is placed, click on the "Customize" button and land on the customization page.
