[Resolved] Custom Fonts Not Working After Update

Hi There

I’ve just updated my site to the latest version and my custom fonts are no longer working.

I have previously followed all your steps as set out here: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-local-fonts/

And it has been working perfectly since May.

Hi there,

Your @font-face CSS is pointing towards font files in the parent theme. When you update the parent theme, WordPress removes the folder and uploads the fresh folder.

You need to upload your font files to a child theme (https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-child-theme/), then update your CSS to point to them in the child theme instead of the parent theme.

Thank you for your prompt response. I have added the font files to my Font folder in the Cpanel. It still does not show custom fonts. I have no idea how to set up the Child Theme

*Update: I now see that I needed to add ‘assets’ to the url. Resolved.
