Hi All. Non-techie here… I’ve added a custom field (event date) to WooCommerce, but can’t figure out how to make it appear in the WooCommerce Product description – can anyone help please?
May 25, 2018 at 5:18 am #584339DavidStaffCustomer SupportHi Gene, without using plugins this would be technical. What tools are you using to add the custom field?
May 25, 2018 at 5:48 am #584358GeneHi David,
Thank you for your reply, the plug-ins I’m using are:
Elementor Pro
GeneratePress Pro
and Woo Commerce…I’ve added the custom field in the Product section. Naively, I thought the ‘custom field’ would magically appear ๐
The date of the event is a pretty integral function of the events site… Can you make any suggestions?

May 25, 2018 at 6:12 am #584377DavidStaffCustomer SupportIf it works but needs some styling then let us know
May 25, 2018 at 6:46 am #584400GeneHi David.
That’s perfect… It does require some styling however, I feel a little cheeky asking for styling help, but if it’s not too much to ask, could you do something like:
date month year | time
Do you need access to the backend of the site?
Thanks again David
May 25, 2018 at 6:49 am #584401DavidStaffCustomer SupportHi Gene,
if you can add your site url in the field provided then we can have a look, and see whether it can be done without backend access.
May 25, 2018 at 6:51 am #584403GeneThe site is in maintenance mode, so I’m guessing it can’t be, but this is the site http://www.theneon.co.uk

May 25, 2018 at 10:29 am #584588DavidStaffCustomer SupportHi Gene, we would need to be able to see the page, any chance you can remove it from maintenance mode?
If not you can send login details via the sales contact from here, if you can paste a link to this post in the message:May 29, 2018 at 1:29 pm #587339DavidStaffCustomer SupportHi Gene,
received the login, that plugin, although it does the job lacks any customisation, its not going to be possible to separate the date and time without editing the plugin itself. I have looked around and the only other free events plugin that still seems to be actively supported is this:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-easy-booking-system/
Let me know
May 30, 2018 at 2:57 am #587700GeneHi David, thanks again for looking in to this. I think the first plug-in you pointed me to is better. Is there a way to just make it bigger, and to put a space between the year and the time?
May 30, 2018 at 3:10 am #587707DavidStaffCustomer SupportHi Gene, unfortunately not without editing the plugin template itself, apologies i should have researched a little deeper, that very question came up in the support forum and has remained unanswered.
I am looking into how we can hook your custom field into the product description. Hope to have something today
