Custom column layout causing hanging post

Hi guys,
Yes, it's me again. I'm sorry. Hopefully this is just a simple answer for you.
I used the instructions here to create a 3-column layout on just one of my category archive pages. It works great, except I don't know how to change the number of posts displayed per page. I have 3 columns on that category archive page (the rest of the site has 2), and it's displaying 10 posts per page, so there are 3 rows of 3 posts followed by 1 row of 1 post and then then pagination.
I'm hoping there's an easy fix/setting that I can just adjust?

You will need a filter like this:

Just modify the conditional tag to be the same as the one you used for columns.
