Custom Class Options for Menu Items Disappeared after logging back in.

I created a navigation header with the following documentation article:

Did some editing and it all worked perfectly. I got logged out of WordPress and as soon as I logged in the Menu Item acting as the separator disappeared and the option to add custom classes to the menu items disappeared as well. I tried disabling and reenabling the theme but, cannot find what is causing the issue exactly.
I fixed it for now by using the Menu Item ID but, it would be nice to figure out why the options suddenly disappeared

I'm not sure unfortunately.
The menu system is handled by WordPress entirely so it sounds like something didn't save well in the database.
