As I moved another rather large site over to GPP, I am finding I still need Beaver Themer to create custom Archive pages (Categories, Author Archives, Tag Archives, etc... What is a best way moving forward for this in the GPP arena. I know WP Show Posts is available but heard there might be something within GB or even GPP. Any advice on this?

Hi Ian,

It depends on what kind of custom layout you are looking for.
Could you give some examples so we can understand your needs better?

Thanks!

Hi Ying,

I just added 3 examples of archives that we run. Can you take a look and give me some advice on how to best move forward? Thank you.

Hi Ian,

I checked the pages, they seem pretty standard to me. Is there anything specific features you you want to mention here?

The page titles can be styled with some CSS, the masonry grid can be set in Customizer > Layout > Blog.

The Arthur category page can be done by hooking a Header Element. https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/

Some examples of page hero (header element).

Let me know :)

Hi Ying,

Thank you very much for your help. I have indeed been testing the methods that you had mentioned. The oddest thing is that using the GPP way to display archives, pagespeed scores are lower. In particular, LCP and Total Blocking Time are higher causing the lower score. Interesting.

May I ask 1 more question?

If you take a look at the home page, how can GPP users set up multiple sections of Posts based on categories, tags and chronological. The homepage has 3 of these sections. Any more advice would be greatly appreciated.
