Hi Tom,
When I try to update my GP Premium 1.5.6 license, it shows me the error something like "cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10001 milliseconds". Can you help me figure out what's going on? Thank you.
Hi there,
You can contact your hosting to make sure your server can communicate with generatepress.com.
If you tell them the exact error, they should hopefully be able to tweak something to let it go through.
Hello Tom,
Our web host (InMotion Hosting) feels there is a communication issue between the server that hosts our account and the GP server. We are using php 7.3 and the serveer OS is Easy Apache 4.0. Is there anything that you feel may be required on our side for better server-to-server communications. Otherwise, I'm afraid we are in the dark on this one.
By the way: I did update our new license code on a GoDaddy server and a Site 5 server and it worked fine.
Best,
Matthew
As long as the cURL version on your server is up to date (usually the issue) and your firewall isn't blocking communication with generatepress.com, there shouldn't be any issues.
I'm having the same issue and A2 support says your servers are blocking their connections and that you need to whitelist their IP address. I really don't want to publish my server's IP address on a public forum. :(
Feel free to send it in an Account Issue: https://generatepress.com/contact
We can check if it's banned from our server :)
Sent, thanks!
Should be good to go now.
Thanks!
