[Resolved] css transparent background for navigation bar

I have tried inputting #site-navigation {background-color: transparent !important;}

but all that does is turn the nav bar to white.

Is there a way to make the entire navigation bar transparent so just the text links show?

OK. what I put is correct, I just had not put it over top of the header yet so was seeing the white background and thinking it wasn’t working. All fine!
