Hello Tom and Leo – aka beloved gurus,

On my website I am adding a post section regarding plants. Is there a way to make a template either with or without the sections tab where each part of the post is pretty much the same set up, h tags etc.

Then I could just fill in the information.

For instance the first part is always:
    Plant Information:
    Common Name:
    Scientific Name:
    Family:
    Origin:
    Grown:
    Species:
    Historical Information:

Another section has the URLS that were used in the article. etc.

Is there a way to create these section where I just pull them in and fill in the information?

    Thank you
    Jan

    Hi Jan,

You would likely need to use custom fields and shortcodes or a custom page template. It might be worth checking out a plugin like ACF: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-custom-fields/

Hi Jan, I’m in the process of setting up a medicinal plants database and website. I’m using GP pro and Toolset, really like to hear how your website’s doing and if you have any advice or tips.
    Thanks
    David
