Creating Elementor Blocks outside content area

Hi guys, thanks for an awesome theme. I am trying to create Elementor Sections on a page, but no matter which of the two Builder templates I choose, I always get a section inside the page content area.
What would be the best practice to create an Elementor-based layout without being restricted from the contant area background?
