[Support request] Creating a page layout without using any GP features

Hi there,

I am thinking to create a new post layout for my GP. The problem is I am not finding a developer (In India) who is well versed with GP (almost everyone says we have experience with underscore or Genesis). The developers outside India are awesome but out of my budget.

So, the question:

Can I ask a normal genesis developer to create a layout like this page without using any GP features. Is something like this possible? Will it break the site?

2) As Yoast SEO has included its own schema, what is next for GP users?

a) Are you going to send an update disabling schema?
b) Should we disable it ourself.
c) Keep it as is (using both).

Hi there,

A developer who can do that using Genesis or Underscores can also do it using GP. We use core WordPress functionality just like those two themes, so there’s no difference.

You can disable schema in GP like this: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/generate_schema_type/
