I recently installed Generate Press Pro on my new website. I would like to add what I think is called a ‘custom page’ or ‘landing page’ as just one single page on the site. Is it possible for me to install this landing page with the Generate Press theme? I read that some themes restrict users from altering layouts and functionality for a different page in the hierarchy. Does Generate Press restrict users in this way? Do you have any advice on how I can create a custom page/landing page on Generate Press? I have the html code, index page, css, and media for the page. Thank you for your help.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
I believe you can definitely do this with GP.
GP Premium features found within the Customizer setting or modules like Layout Element – https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/ – allow for flexibility if you require to include/remove things.
You can also ask us for any snippets if you have particular things you want removed/added.
For advice:
For general layout and contents of the page, you can install GenerateBlocks for the grids/columns/containers as your create your page through WordPress’ default Block Editor, Gutenberg.
And if you want to remove things, try finding them within the customizer settings or try disabling these elements within Layout Element.

Thank you Elvin. However, I don’t think the Layout Element will work for what I want. The link you sent also says it is for site-wide changes. I just want to have one single page that is different from all other pages in the theme. I also don’t understand the benefits of the GenerateBlocks when there are Gutenberg Blocks? Why use GenerateBlocks when it will only add code bloat to the page? I think I made the mistake of buying Generate Press Pro because it adds code bloat. However, I needed to implement something to get up and running quickly.

You can set its display rule so it only applies on 1 page.

The default Gutenberg blocks are way too limited in styling.
Watch GenerateBlock’s demo here:

More styling and layout functionality. You can do a comparison yourself with Gutenberg’s Column block and GenerateBlock’s Grid Block.

That’s just plain wrong. While its true that GP Premium adds a few scripts more than the base theme, all of them are actually necessary and you can actually toggle them off if you don’t need them. (smooth scroll, sticky navigation, etc)
GP premium itself doesn’t add extra html structure unless instructed to do so through Hook or Block Element. It’s mainly to add more controls for parts of the theme on the customizer setting.
