[Resolved] Create sidebar to all pages

Hi,

I have recently changed themes on my site to generate press premium and I’m using the Mellow template. My question is, I would like to create a sidebar that is visable on every page including the home page. How would I best do this?

Hi Derek,

You can activate the Sidebar in Appearance > Customize > Layout > Sidebars. Set the 3 Layouts to contain a sidebar. Reference: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/sidebar-layout-overview/

Thanks Fernando. That has moved everything over and created a blank space. How do I actually insert something on the sidebar like the about us info? Sorry, I’m a new user

No worries. You can add Blocks, as you would a post/page, to the Sidebar through Appearance > Widgets > left/right sidebar.

I have done that but it appears my blocks are being divided up. How can I keep it together as one? Link below.
