CPT Archive Layout

Hi there,
I may be confusing the purpose of the Customizer > Layout > Blog > "settings" so I'll ask to clarify.
I have a custom post type 'products_pt' it has an archive page. I'd like the layout of this custom post type to be different from the standard blog layout. So, my question:
- By changing the 'archive settings' in 'Customizer > Layout > Blog >' am I changing the independent layout of my CPT Archive page? or am I changing archive pages across all post types? I have tried adjusting these settings and it seems to be adjusting the blog layout too.
Is there any way to control the custom post type layout independently of the main blog?

the Customizer Blog options apply to any archives that are using the GP templates.
If you want to specify different rules for your CPT then you can use the Blog Options filter:
