StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Any chance you can link us to the page in question?
You can use the private information field:

hi I’m running it o a local machine here I’m afraid.
I have a container with an image and a cover on that image and I need to set a URL on the image/cover/container so any part of it can be clicked to take it to another area on the site. I can set a URL on the image but once I add the ‘Cover’ the url doesn’t work anymore..

StaffCustomer SupportTough for us to help with this description and it doesn’t sound like it’s related to GP.
Can you start a staging site so we can inspect the issue live?
Thank you.

there is an images with a ‘Cover’. How do I add a url to the entire images and not just to the ‘TEST’ that is on it? There is no option
GP Premium or Generateblocks to do this that I can find and when I try to edit the HTML it won’t do it either. I would have thought adding a URL link to an image would be simply?

StaffCustomer SupportI don’t see why the Cover block is needed here.
Try uploading the image as the container background image:
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/container-overview/#backgroundsThen use this solution:
https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/entire-block-clickable/#post-1582720March 11, 2022 at 1:00 pm #2151305Michael
because I need to put text on the image. Can I do that without it being a ‘cover’?

StaffCustomer SupportHi Michael,
Can you try Leo’s method? You don’t need cover block for this.
You can add a headline block inside the container block for the text.

when I add an image to the container it won’t allow me add a headline into the images. the headline is either above r below the images. What I want is an images on the page with text on the images and make the whole image (not just the text) clickable. Can this be done?
Have a look at the https://www.scottshotelkillarney.com webpage and half way down there is a ‘Rooms’ block and the whole image is clickable with the text ‘Rooms’ on it
thanks

StaffCustomer SupportCan you make sure the image is added as the background image as suggested here?
Try uploading the image as the container background image:
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/container-overview/#backgroundsPlease take a look at the documentation.

I wonder can you test it yourself the addition of a background image to a container and then the addition of a headline on the background and then the entire container being clickable because I can’t figure it out and sending me to documentation isn’t helping. can David look at this issue please?

StaffCustomer SupportCan you show me what you have so far without the cover block so I know what the issue is?
