Correct Featured Image Size

I have the blog type lists on my home page but my featured images are not aligned properly. I tried playing with different image sizes but the some images are bigger and some are smaller which doesn't look professional on the site. Can you please suggest what should I pick as my ideal size.
Please see the screenshot where I've mentioned the container size and the image sizes are not aligned properly on the right side.

you can adjust your featured image widths in Customizer > Layout > Blog:

Just set the Width to a size you like and leave the Height as Auto.
