Copyright in Customizer & Footer Bar

Hello - I'm really digging the new(?) global colours. Nice to set then in once place instead of having to back and forth from my custom styles palette.
Todays tomfoolery revolves around a weird conflict between the Copyright option in the customizer and the footer bar widget. It appears they try occupy the same row if viewing on a desktop creating 2 columns:

I guess I could just put the small acknowledgement in the copyright customizer as the date short code only works here. Or is there s simple solution I'm missing?

You can set the dropdown to center if you wish for it to be center aligned.

The most fitting solution would be using a Block Element - Site footer so you can create your own layout.
Block element - site footer replaces the Site footer with the layout you'll be making within the Block element's UI.
The caveat is, you'll have to layout the widgets you've placed on Appearance > Widgets on this new Block Element.
Hi Elvin - yes the solution was right in front of me.
By Block editor you mean using the new WordPress block widgets with your Generate blocks?
I prefer the classics widgets as I can't stand Gutenberg blocks. Worse than Divi.

And yes it's by using block widgets.
