copyright footer vanished

hi guys
Just set up GP on my main site. All looks good.
For some reason however, my copyright footer has disappeared somewhere along the process.
It appeared as I entered it ( when setting up the theme in maintenance mode) - but I've just
noticed it missing.
I've disabled and enabled caching and other plugins to no avail.
The option is activated in GP plugin and I have the appropriate code entered.
It's just blank no matter what i type in to the darned box.
Could I have pushed it out of sight accidentally when I was setting up remaining features and spacing ?
