Copyright Addon Question

I installed the copyright add-on and when trying to set it up I have come across a problem (maybe)
I noticed in generatepress.com Copyright section they have a link to their home page. So I set it all up and put in a My Site Name to get the link into it.
It did put a link in but when you click link or hover over it it goes to a url like this which becomes a 404 error page mysite.com/mysite.com
Any way to put the link in and it only redirect to my home page?
also any way to change the color of the text link? eg in bottom of this page it shows

When adding your URL, make sure you include http:// in the URL.
Like this: <a href="http://generatepress.com">GeneratePress</a>

I would also like to know about the text link color now, how do I make the text a diff color or is it in all the code? I am not good with code so if its there I will leave it alone
The easiest way is to use the Colors addon.
You can change the link in "Appearance > Customize > Colors > Footer Colors".
