Convertkit for default GP subscribe form (Stream)

Hi,
The default email subscription form on Stream theme has a mc4wp_form id in field on home page.
If I have a Convertkit account API key, can I use it to collect email addresses on Convertkit via this default demo form box, or is this form generated by Mailchimp/MC4WP on GP?
Form style option on MC4WP plugin has an 'inherit from GeneratePress theme' option, so checking if I could link to this default form, or would I need to disable MC4WP and create a Convertkit shortcode then install via Convertkit plugin?

It's a form from MC4WP. It only inherits the basic styling of the form from the theme but its functions are from MC4WP plugin.

You won't have to disable MC4WP but it's good practice if you do so you're sure there's no plugin conflict between the two.
Just make sure you replace the MC4WP form shortcode with your Convertkit form shortcode.

Hello, I too use convertkit and would like to employ this solution but don't have the technical know how. Is there a video or guide that explains this process? Sounds like it's simple but I'm just not familiar with it.
