Converted from Blaskan theme to GP, widgets everywhere!

I tried to switch my Blasken theme blog to GP. The widgets landed everywhere, and were not accessible for me to turn off or move! For example, my Disclaimer was previously a widget in Footer 1. When I switch to GP, it lands in the header, and there's no header widget there for me to edit! Here's my site, set up with 2 sidebars on the right http://www.tiredthyroid.com/blog/ I would prefer GP's sidebar/content/sidebar format. But many sidebar items ended up as footer widgets (?), and the footer widgets ended up in the sidebars! Some were accessible, and I was able to move them. Others were not, so no way to get rid of them. Any ideas? I love the clean look of GP and successfully set up the main website with no problems http://www.tiredthyroid.com/ (previously in html, so I wasn't dealing with another theme). I wanted to change the blog over to match too. Thanks.

This can sometimes happen when changing themes - different themes use different widget IDs, and if they somehow use the same ones, those widgets can change places.

The good news is that they should all be accessible if you go to "Appearance > Widgets" - all of your widgets are drag and droppable, so you might just want to take note (or leave a tab open) using your old theme so you can see which widgets go where, and then rearrange them once GP is activated.
