Hi,
Is there a way to convert an old design (using classic editor and sections) into the new blocks version without redoing the pages?

Hi Joel,
The short answer is not really.
The best thing you can do is to use the Convert to block WP core feature to convert them.
How well it works will depend on what your existing content looks like.
