Content not showing on Post page

Problem On my "Posts" page - the page that will automatically show posts. I have typed a heading and a paragraph and neither show on the live page. The live page shows only post titles, images, and excerpts. How can I get my H1 and Paragraph to show?

The posts page and any archives are index pages and cannot be edited like a normal static page.
I believe what you are looking for is to create a block element page hero:
