Hi Tom, excuse if this is duplicated. I pubed before, but didn't see it pubed in the list after, so I did it again.
The above page has "Content (no sidebars)" chosen, but a widget still shows?
Thanks
Definitely something strange going on.
First things first, you have some broken HTML happening which is breaking the output of the page.
It looks like it might have to do with the columns plugin you're using.
Can you possibly remove it or try a different plugin?: https://wordpress.org/plugins/lightweight-grid-columns/
I dont think it Shortcodes Ultimate for columns Tom. Have it on all sites I do, using your GP theme and child. And also on 2 Genesis websites.
Get this, I took out ALL WIDGETS of left/right area of this site, leaving only Footer widgets. After I reloaded homepage, 2 ARCHIVE widgets were at left and right. And also 2 search widgets above each Archive widget.
And I dont use either!!! Check out.

More coming
No sidebar widgets

If no widgets exist but the sidebar is enabled, the default widgets will display.
If your page doesn't have any widgets, turn off the sidebar: https://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/choosing-sidebar-layouts/
Thanks
You're welcome :)
re: Shortcodes Ultimate
His website support link redirects to:
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/shortcodes-ultimate/
and I find no posts indicating these kinda problems Tom.
Ill play around with you ideas though, and get back to you.
Sure wish you implement Picture upload in this.
If you run your page through an HTML validator, you'll see you have an opening element without a closing element somewhere on your page causing the HTML to break: https://validator.w3.org/
Thanks Tom, I see it now. Sorry for saying it was your theme.
No problem - glad I could help :)
