Weird, out of curiosity, what version of GeneratePress are you using?
The last one, 1.2.9.
The latest one available is 1.2.9.8.

What page is that happening on? Can’t seem to find it.

I’m about to release a big update with improvements to the Typography add-on, but I’m not sure if this is a GP thing or just a Merriweather font thing.
Try using a different font and see if the issue persists.
