Container width on a custom blog page
5 replies · Started by Stéphanie on February 1, 2023
Hello,
I'm trying to create a template for the blog page but I have a problem with the width of the containers.
For this template, I created an element with the loop template attribute and assigned it to the blog page.
When I add the containers on the element, I can click on "full width" but it won't work. The max length seems to be at the width of the content.
Is there a particular option in the theme to check to go beyond that content width ?
Thanks for your help !
Stephanie
Hi Stephanie,
You can create a layout element to set the blog page to be full width.
Make sure you select blog as the location, not page > blog.

Hi Ying and thanks for your kind answer.
I think that this is how it is set up as you can see on the picture enclosed. Am I wrong in the settings ?
Thanks for your help !

Hi Stephanie,
To clarify, do you already have a Full-width Layout Element set for that page as mentioned by Ying?

Your screenshot is showing the Block Element.
Hi Fernando,
Thanks for the clarification ! I thought the Block Element was the only one needed. I added a Layout Element and it works now perfectly !
Have a great day,
Stephanie
