container background

Hi - I have container that is white but the background of the page is grey. Can you tell me how to make the page background white please OR how to make white container fill the whole page?
Hi there,
so the grey comes from the Customizer > Color > Body.
But, if you're building pages and are using GenerateBlocks and want full width layouts, then you can set the Content Container to Full Width
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/content-container/
This will set the page to 100% width, and it will also remove the theme padding, so make sure you add some padding to the GB Container blocks.
Hi David - thanks, that makes sense but I only want to do it on one or two pages - see link
In that case use the second option ie. Set the Content Container to Full Width:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/content-container/
And then use GB Container blocks to build your sections.
I have set the container width to full width and the inner container width to full width as well.
There is still a grey background behind the container (page colour?) Is it possible to make this white so that the block does not stand out from the page?
see the document:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/content-container/
The screenshot it provides, you should see that Layout Metabox in the settings sidebar in your post editor.
Can you see that on your site ?
Yes - I can see it and have amended to full width. Thanks. Is it possible to remove that bit of grey background from behind the container? Just below the header? On that page only?
Ok i can see the change now :)
In your editor, there is an Empty Text block at the very top of the page, delete that.
Thanks - done
Glad to hear that!
