Confused about the dynamic typography

Watched the YouTube video and learned about how to use the typography panel in the Customizer, but certain settings weren't working, then I realized I had other settings (eg font size) already specified using the block editing interface.
Any guidance as to how to navigate between the two?
Hi there,
The dynamic typography settings in the customizer would normally be used for global settings - that means the font size (etc) that you want to use by default.
Then if there are some special cases where you would like to change the font size then that should be set within the blocks.
