    Hello,

    I have the below issue, when opening an image in an Elementor lightbox. I tried to solve the issue with a developer, we deactivated all plugins one by one and analysed the issue, he came to the conclusion that it was a conflict with GP premium.

    Normal behaviour (Safari):
    When clicking on an image with Elementor lightbox activated, the image opens in a lightbox.

    Buggy behaviour (Firefox always, Chrome only sometimes):
    When clicking on an image with Elementor lightbox activated, the image URL opens in the same window

    Example page where this happens: https://wingtra.com/drone-regulations-where-we-are-today-where-were-going-and-what-you-need-to-know/

    It would be great if you could help further.

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

    I can’t see its a theme or GPP related issue. Test by disabling all the GP Premium modules.
    But i would raise a support topic with Elementor, there are several issues related to their lightbox on their github

    Hi David,

    thanks for your answer. So I tested further and found the following: the issue appear only when the following 2 things are are together:

    – GP theme
    – Google Tag manager script

    I recreated this situation on this sandbox website, with default WordPress install:

    – This page has the GP theme installed, Google Tag manager script and of course the Elementor plugin: https://sandbox.wingtra.com/index.php/sample-page/ and the bug appears.
    – If i remove the Google Tag manager script, it works fine: https://sandbox.wingtra.com/index.php/sample-page-without-google-tag-manager-script/
    – If I deactivate the GP theme, it works fine.

    I did not install GP premium on this test site.

    I am technically not skilled enough to dig further and pinpoint the exact issue. Since the Google tag manager script is not something we can get rid of or change easily (and I guess a lot of other website are using it) I’m wondering if something can be done to the GP theme?

    Thank you

    by the way this is the GTM tag

    <!-- Google Tag Manager -->
    <script>(function(w,d,s,l,i){w[l]=w[l]||[];w[l].push({'gtm.start':
    new Date().getTime(),event:'gtm.js'});var f=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],
    j=d.createElement(s),dl=l!='dataLayer'?'&l='+l:'';j.async=true;j.src=
    'https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtm.js?id='+i+dl;f.parentNode.insertBefore(j,f);
    })(window,document,'script','dataLayer','GTM-TLFT2HW');</script>
    <!-- End Google Tag Manager -->

    How are you adding the GTM tag?

    There isn’t something GP can fix for this, unfortunately.

    Have you reported to Elementor’s support yet as David suggested yet?

    I added the GTM directly on the page with Elementor HTML element. But the same problem happens when I do it via GP elements.

    Allright, well I will report it to Elementor too. Hope they can help.
