Conditional logic menu Ultimate Member plugin with GP premium

Hi,
I have Ultimate Member plugin together with GP Premium in use and would like to use their conditional logic menu (menu items are visible only to specified user roles).
Unfortunately it does not work. When saving the new settings within menu settings page the original state (visible for all) is unchanged.
There is no caching plugin installed, all plugins and your theme is updated to the last version and I already did conflict testing - without success.
Ultimate Member points to the respective theme support.

have you tried rolling back the plugin to 2.1.5 as it seems others having the same issue did this with some success?
