[Support request] Compatibility of qTranslate-X with sections in generatepress

Hi, I’m using the GeneratePress theme with GP Premium and want to translate sections using the qTranslate-X plugin.

Translation is possible when not using sections but doesn’t work when using sections. It is possible to use this syntax [:en]english text[:de]german text[:] but that’s not what I want.

Could you let me know if this is something that we could get to work? If it’s not massively complex I’m willing to help you develop.

Hi Frank,

I would say we should look into integrating the two, but Gutenberg will likely lead to Sections evolving into the new editor, which means it likely won’t be necessary.

Perhaps using that syntax is the best call for now? If you have any ideas about the integration, I will definitely consider them for now until Gutenberg is released 🙂
