Hi! When you go to my site http://www.littledotbigdifference.com and choose a state, say Colorado...do you see a section for comments? I do not. A user just entered a comment that I approved. So that user must see them?
In the discussion settings I have 'Allow Comments'
Just curious if you see them? If you do, what would be preventing me from seeing them?
Thanks,
Kris
Hi Kris,
I don't see the comments...also don't see where the user could've entered the comment as there is no comment box?
Hmm... That's what I see too. I'll ask the user (a friend) how she managed to enter one.
Do you know why my comments went away? I have the setting to 'allow comments'
Thanks, Kris
Does the blog post type determine if the comment section appears? I've recently switched to aside.
The checkbox in Settings > Discussions only apply to new posts.
For existing posts, go to your Dashboard > Posts and hover over the post title > quick edit and make sure Allow Comments is checked.
Let me know.
Hi Leo,
Yes, on all exisiting posts Allow Comments is checked.
Hmmm?
Kris
I can see the comment now: http://www.littledotbigdifference.com/colorado/
All the links you have in the primary navigation are linking to the category page (http://www.littledotbigdifference.com/category/colorado/) though you might have to re-link them to actual posts.
Hmmm...initally reading your response doesn't make sense to me on what I need to do to fix it. I may need to think about that for a bit, or is there another way you could say it that would make more sense to me? Sorry!
If you go to Dashboard > Appearance > Menus, currently I think it's constructed with Categories. Try rebuilding it by adding posts you want in the menu using the list in Posts.
Let me know if this makes better sense...
Oh my gosh! I tried what you said for Colorado and that fixed it and you taught me something, too. Thank you! I appreciate you guys so much. Have a great day, Kris
You're very welcome :)
