Comment form not visible on individual posts pages

Hi -
As stated in the title, there is no comment form at the base of each post.
I have the options to add comments enabled in Settings - Discussion, and I have ticked the 'Allow Comments' tickbox in the the post itself, however it is still not showing.
I cleared caches, updated all plugins, disabled all plugins to no avail.
Could you please give me some advice on what to do?

Hi there,
go to Settings > Discussions and check to see if you have: Automatically close comments on posts older than set. If you do, try unchecking that or increasing the number of days.

Good call, that was the problem. It is a staging site, so no up to date articles yet.
