Columns and post images in menu

Hello,
i just imported the demo content from the "info" theme for my generatepress site.
I'd like to add a 3 column menu in the header. So it means when the user hovers on a primary menu item, a submenu will open with three columns.
Also would it be possible to display already a post image in the menu?

Anything more advanced would require a mega menu plugin.
For the image, where would it come from ?

the pics would come from blog posts and pages. I will check the code for the mega menu.

So you want the featured image of the page them menu links to ?
yes, i mean a menu like this:

If you want to automate that then you would need a mega menu plugin.
