Colors input field does not allow typing

I have a hex color code I'd like to copy/paste into Customizing > Colors > Primary Navigation > Background Current.
I can click on "Select Color" which makes the color selector, an input field, and "Default" button appear.
I can click on the input field, I just can't paste or type anything there.
I'm running the latest version of everything using macOS Safari.
I do face such a problem from time to time and i have found out that clicking on "default" and saving the changes fixes the issue. Sorry if this wasn't helpful in your case.
That's strange, are you sure the code is copied? Have you tried pasting into a notepad just to test?
Maybe try with a different browser like Chrome to test as well.
