hello, after reviewing topics that had similar issues I’m still unable to fix this issue for both desktop as well as mobile. Could you guys advise on any steps I may have missed?

    Hi there,

the major issue i see is the Slider Blocks being used. The sliders are resizing considerably in height after their images and content are loaded.

You can see this in action by:
    1. Open the site in Chrome, Right Click > Inspect to open the Developers Tools.
    2. Select the Mobile icon to view it in responsive view.
    3. Go to the Network Tab and Check Disable Cache and beside that switch from Online to Slow 3G.
    4. With the developer tools still open refresh the page.

You will now see on initial load the sliders are not visible. Over time they are loaded and the space they occupy increases.

You would need to speak with the Slider Blocks Plugin Developer for a fix to this, or find an alternative slider plugin.

ok, that makes sense. I use gutenslider so I will see if they can help provide a solution.

Does this plugin have an effect on pages that don’t use sliders as well? I’m getting CLS issues on most of the blog pages I don’t run a slider on like the front page.

Just wondering if there’s anything else I can do to cut CLS down and improve page load performance.

Thank you for the great support by the way. You guys are beyond helpful with many of the other topics I’ve sorted through and found solutions for since using this theme!

No the slider only affects the pages it is on.

I just checked that other URL using Page Speed Insights and both Mobile and Desktop are displaying very little CLS there value is in the Green which is fine. Make sure you check the Lab Data information not the Origin Summary. Overtime as more users visit Google will collect Field Data and present you with newer information

Ok, Thanks again David for the speedy reply. I will revalidate the issue with Google’s core web vitals once I get gutenslider fixed.

They currently have me at .36 for CLS on 125 pages so I assumed it was either ads or something in the theme I may have overlooked.

The site could do with some Optimization. The better the site performs the less likely Google may flag an issue.

    We generally recommend Autoptimize:
