CLS issue, after activating/deactivating plugins

Hi,
I recently activated WP Rocket and deacivated WP fastest cache, Autoptimize and WP Optimize.

After I activated WP Rocket, my Core Web Vitals in my Search Console (Desktop only) turned yellow.
Initially I thought it has to do with Lazy Load, so I deactivated it.

I also changed other options that might have been responsible. Then I started a fix in search console and waited for the result.
Today it showed me the validation failed.

I'm not really sure whats causing this issue or what else I need to improve/fix.

I previosuly (last year) had problems with CLS, so I changed few things and fixed it (with your help). So the issue has to do with some options that got activated/deactivated with my change.

I'm hoping you can help me again maybe.

P.S.: I also used various tools/plugins to measure CLS and CLS seems to be ok with these tools.

One more thing I noticed: The text ("Meine Partner" & "Artikel") in my Sidebar changes when the site loads. I already use Arial and maybe this is causing the issue?

Hi there,

not much i can advise upon here as the site is built entirely with Elementor - you may want to ask their support for help.

The little i can provide:

1. On the Archive/Blog page the main CLS element being flagged is the post featured image.
2. For the font shifting - simplest way to test if that is an issue is to use System Stack as the font - this won't make any font requests and should never suffer from FOUT ( Flash of unstyled text )

Thank you for the quick reply.

1. Just to understand this correctly: You can't find any big issues, that might cause CLS? I don't think the image is the problem, because it worked fine, before changing plugins.

2. I already use Arial, which is from my understanding a system stack font. But I changed the appearance (size and the boldness) so this might have caused the FOUT.

I'll check if WP Rocket or Elementor support is able to help me.

1. I can't see any other elements that are generating CLS other than the images. However this maybe related to the CSS used to style the post cards.

2. FOUT should only occur if the font doesn't require a font request. It might be worth testing out System Stack to eliminate it being a font issue.
