CLS and Generate Press theme

I have two sites and while google page speed overall is decent. I am getting messages about large shift CLS related on the sites but unsure how to improve as they are theme defaults.

Hi there,
can you try disabling the Optimized ( Critical ) CSS option in WP Rocket as the automatic CSS generation is not good. With that disabled i can recheck the site.
I have disabled the optimize CSS on https://www.momsandmunchkins.ca/
That seemed to fix it on moms and munch Thanks!
but still having issues on https://beginnersewingprojects.com/
let me know what else should try.
Can you temporarily disable the Masonry option in the Blog settings to i can eliminate that.
I disabled the masonry option.
Ok so just done a PSI test and the Lab Data CLS dropped to 0
Choices, i can provide some CSS to stop the masonry option for causing the issue.... or you can leave it disabled for now as we will be improving this in an update.

I'm new to GP so not sure if it is OK to add to others' threads.
I'm having the exact same CLS Masonry issue. Once I disable masonry the CLS issue is gone.
I'm hoping to keep the masonry layout if possible. So I was wondering if there is any timeline on the update for this or if it would be possible to get the workaround CSS?

Hi Janine,
It's best to open a new topic for your specific site. Especially for something like this because causes of CLS can be unique to your specific site.
Opening a new topic allows you to use the private information text field incase we need to ask for the site details. :)
As for any masonry-related update: Tom has yet to make any announcement for this specifically.

I know my CLS issue is just due to masonry here. So is the CSS workaround David mentioned above available?

have updated to GPP 2.0 ? As we made some changes to how Masonry works.
I missed that GPP 2 had been released yesterday thanks!
I only started using GP last week and since that's a major update I better play around with it locally first to see if anything breaks. Hopefully the masonry rewrite might help my CLS issue too thanks.
