[Support request] Church Website Site

Dear GP,
I’m planning to build a website for a basic Catholic church with the basics — mass times, prayer intentions, etc. Nothing fancy or contemporary. It’s a pretty old parish. Just wondering if any GPers have an suggestions on what they might have used or would use from the site library for a project like this. Thanks.

In the starter sites library, I’m wondering which one(s) you would recommend to start building a church website. I would prefer the starter site(s) built exclusively with GP Premium and the four basic blocks from GenerateBlocks. Please advise.

Thanks for your reply. I’d like to build a site similar to this one: http://www.egliselesentier.com. If you could point me to the starter theme(s) that would be most appropriate to build a similar site, that would be a big help. As I said earlier, I’d prefer something that sticks to GP Premium and GB’s free blocks.

I think any of the sites in our library will take some manipulation. Which wouldn’t be a difficult job. But a main question to answer …

On the Home Page of your website, what content will you be wanting to display ?
Will this content be in the form of Blog Posts ? Or would it be static content that doesn’t get updated that regularly ?

The content on the Home Page will be in the form of blog posts. So any of the starter site will do? I feel like I’m back to square one.

If you go to the site library page: https://generatepress.com/site-library/

The sites under the Blog filter have the home page set to display posts.

However, that setting can be changed for other templates that have a static home page:
https://wordpress.org/support/article/settings-reading-screen/

Therefore choosing a template with the layout that you like the most to start would be my recommendation.
