Child theme templates not working

I worked on this site 5 years ago and then got real sick. I have recently come back to it and it is still in progress. After updating the plugins and wordpress there are 2 child theme templates that do not work. Is there anything that has changed in that amount of time that I should focus on?

GP doesn't have the ability to alter your child theme templates during updates?
