It seems like you're trying to change the UI labels of the mentioned plugins.

All these are definitely something you'll have to ask the plugin support for.

Question: Who enters the labels into the strings? Would it have been our Web Developer?

It's written within the plugins' codes.

Thank you.

I have previously been able to change the UI labels by using the correct 'text domain', if you can tell me 'how' to find the text domain/s so I can use them, the problem/s would then be solved :)!

I am confused as to why I was directed by a plugin to the our theme provider (Generate Press) & then redirected by our theme provider to a plugin, to have the UI changes made.

I am also confused as to why there inconsistencies with the labels across plugins, especially when labels are such an important part of UI/UX design. As a business we wan our website & marketplace to present as 'professional', which is hard to do when labels change from being written in sentence case - 1st letter capitalised, to title case - the 1st letter of every relevant word capitalised.

I have already made 80+ label changes for the labels I have the text domains for, I am happy to make the remaining changes myself if you are able to tell me 'how' to find the text domain/s & or another way to make the changes.

Kind regards,

L.A.

Oops! Please forgive me for the above mistakes & I will correct myself regarding:

*plugin to OUR theme provider...
*why there ARE inconsistencies...
*we WANT our website...

Kind regards,

L.A.

"WP Admin > WC Vendors > Settings > General :" from this itself, I believe this should've been obvious that the label is coming from WC Vendors plugin. The term "Vendor login redirect" should be as obvious as well.

Now I understand why the plugin support may say that. They probably are suggesting you use functions.php to do the changes but that's not what you need.

And I understand that you're asking for help on how to look for the text domains used for labels but the problem here is, We're not even sure if WC Vendor did have text domains assigned for their labels or if it's just plain hardcoded text strings.

I did say from my last reply how I attempt to find things within the code.

You have to do these searches on WC Vendor's plugin files and find the lines related to UI labels.

As much as I'd like to help you, this really isn't within our scope of support.

Primarily because it's a third-party plugin we don't develop, and this isn't exactly something the theme controls because you're doing something on the back-end side of things. You'll mostly need plugin development knowledge to do it.

You have to understand how these 2 work:

https://developer.wordpress.org/plugins/administration-menus/sub-menus/

Every plugin has one.

Hi Elvin,

Thank you for providing so much detail & information in your last reply, which I so appreciate.

I will be going back to WC Vendors regarding the UI labels. I have approached them previously regarding the labels & at 1st I was told that changes would be made as part of the next version/release, then I was told that the developers have made the strings easy to change & that I could make the changes myself.

Thank you sincerely for help, as I now know 'who's' job it is to fix the problem :).

I hope you have a great week!

Kind regards,

L.A.

That's the best course of action. Else, you may have to edit their plugin just for these labels which isn't exactly a good thing to do.

No problem. We try to help as much as we can but some things are simply way out to of our scope.

Glad to be of any help. Stay safe! :D

Thank you & I understand regarding things being out of your scope, as changing the labels happen to be outside of my scope :), lol.

Thank you & please stay safe too :)!
