Child Theme Customisation

Hi there,
When using a GeneratePress child theme, will all the customisation options be available e.g. site identity, layouts etc? Or are those features made redundant?
I'm trying to understand the main advantages of choosing to go with a GP child theme vs just customising a site using GP premium from the off?

Hi there,
All the customizer options are available when you use a child theme.
Using a child theme just allows you to add custom CSS, PHP and modify the core files if you needed.
