Is there a way to change the H1 size for category pages like the one linked without adding code?

    Hi Devin,

One easy way to do this is by creating a Block Element – Page Hero and display it on archive pages.

    Example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuvD2q7

    Also see: https://share.getcloudapp.com/yAuKlGWL

Through a Block Element – Page Hero, you wouldn’t need custom code to achieve this.

    Reference: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-overview/

    Hope this helps. 🙂

Thanks! Will I need to create a new block for each category page? Since each category has a different name?

    Hi Devin,

The H1 title can be set dynamically, watch this video to learn how it works:https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-page-hero/

Sorry to reopen this topic, but I’m having issues with changes made on desktop translating over to tablet, making the H1 title misaligned with the category image and text appear larger than desired. Is there a way to make changes to the alignment and/or font size on tablet only or will code be required to achieve this?

    Hi there,

edit your Block Element and add a GB Container Block, that has 20px left and right padding and an inner container width to match your Customizer > Layout > Container Width.

Now add your title inside the Container Block, DO NOT add any padding or margins to the Headline block.

    That did it! Thanks David!
